What We Do — Helping people make healthy sport.

Canadian, inclusive, trauma-informed, wholly independent (not affiliated with any sport organization or government agency), registered not for profit, providing free sport support.

1. We listen and help anyone involved in sport to identify whether concerns about their sport experiences may represent issues that require attention. 

We can discuss available options and potential strategies, describing what each of those may entail, including emotional, financial and time costs. 

If individuals require further assistance, we may provide suggestions for action, or referrals to appropriate professionals. 

2. We can provide education on how to create and foster a healthy sport environment at your organization. 

Anyone involved in any current or past sport, anywhere in Canada, at any level, as an athlete, coach, staff member or administrative professional, who is or has been experiencing conflict or has concerns about their sport experience.

We listen and provide free, short-term support, guidance, system navigation, and professional referrals. We can also provide custom education sessions for your organization. 

1. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide legal or psychological counselling, but we may refer you to appropriate professionals. 

2. Athlete Zone focuses exclusively on maltreatment issues so we are not able to address complaints about team selection.
